Following its success last year, the FORS Annual Conference returns in 2023 for its sixth edition on Thursday 2 November. With the theme ‘Building a resilient FORS Community for the road ahead’, the conference will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham.
This year’s event pledges to build on the hugely positive reaction following the 2022 conference in Manchester, which received industry-wide praise from its audience of influential stakeholders from the transport sector. The conference also provides a platform for FORS Affinity Partners and FORS Associates to showcase their products and services, while presenting an unmissable opportunity to network with senior road transport professionals.
The FORS Annual Conference will feature a high-profile and diverse range of speakers representing the length and breadth of the transport industry, which will be announced soon. Panel presentations with clearly defined headline topics will cover developments from FORS, and the transport sector more widely, including:
- Version 7 of the FORS Standard
- Updates from the Quality & Assurance FORS Team
- Diversifying talent across the transport industry
- FORS’ flagship improvement programme for 2023 – Future of Accreditation
- Fleet efficiencies during the cost-of-living crisis
- The road to decarbonisation
The FORS Annual Conference will be chaired by Andy Salter – a leading authority in the road freight and commercial vehicle sectors. As Managing Director of DVV Media International, the publishers of Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, Truck & Driver and Transport News, Andy is passionate about working towards building a resilient FORS Community for the future.
Commenting on the upcoming conference, Ian Henderson, FORS Concession Director, said, ”The FORS Annual Conference continues to provide like-minded delegates with the opportunity to connect in person and to demonstrate a mutual commitment to delivering a safer, cleaner and more efficient transport community. We’re immensely proud to continue hosting the event, which not only serves as the best platform to communicate what’s been happening in FORS but brings our stakeholders together all under one roof to explore hot topics within the industry.”
The FORS Annual Conference 2023 is free to attend for all FORS Accredited Operators. Further details about the event as well as the opportunity to confirm attendance can be found at https://forsannualconference.com/fors2023/en/page/home
