FORS Bronze accreditation just the beginning for Moy Park

Award-winning food company, Moy Park, has secured its first FORS Bronze accreditation at its Anwick site in Lincolnshire.

According to the Northern Ireland-based operator, this is just the first step in its FORS journey. The business, which supplies branded and own-label fresh poultry products throughout the UK, Republic of Ireland and Europe, has set its sights on achieving FORS Bronze across its other 10 operating sites in Northern Ireland and Great Britain by the end of 2023.

“Our mission at Moy Park is to strive to be the best of the best in everything we do”, explains Moy Park Fleet Maintenance and Compliance Lead, Sarah O’Neill.

“We already demonstrate a high level of compliance across our fleets when it comes to crucial elements such as safety, training, fleet maintenance and operator license requirements, but gaining FORS accreditation enables us to take things to the next level. Aligning ourselves with FORS will help foster a culture of continuous improvement within our fleet teams, solidifying our commitment to best practice through robust company procedures.”

For David Kay, fleet health & safety and driver training lead, FORS accreditation will also help to bolster Moy Park’s training offering:

Alongside the myriad of internal benefits of FORS accreditation, a key part of Moy Park’s rationale is to lead by example and drive up standards in its supply chains. According to O’Neill, the business is therefore already preparing for its FORS Silver audit at Anwick, where it operates a fleet of 66 trucks and 130 trailers.
