FORS Members’ Conference 2019 – Speakers
Jo Godsmark – Chair
Jo is director of BigChange’s Advisory Plus division (previously Labyrinth Logistics Consulting) and Chair of the Board of Trustees for Transaid, the international development organisation specialising in transport solutions. Before moving into consultancy, Jo had a long career in engineering, manufacturing, logistics design and procurement at Mars. Jo is also an active member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Chair of the CILT’s Outsourcing and Procurement Forum.
Brian Robinson
Brian is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist and has over 25 years’ experience in transport, energy and climate change policy, sustainability, vehicle safety and programme leadership. Brian leads LowCVP’s Commercial Vehicle Working Group and acts as LowCVP’s main point of contact on freight emissions issues for the DfT and TfL’s LoCITY programme.
Edwin Farquhar
Edwin is a Key Account Manager with Michelin Services and Solutions, a strategic business line within Michelin, designing, developing and deploying sustainable mobility solutions for commercial vehicle fleets. Starting his career in solution design and then business development, Edwin provides unique insights into the complex world of front-line transport management.
Professor Geoff Clarke
Geoff gained extensive knowledge with 22 years in front line transport and distribution management followed by 16 years in freight consultancy at AECOM. Geoff is Hon. Sec. for the Freight Forum of the Intelligent Transport Society (UK) and an Adjunct Professor of Logistics at Liverpool John Moores University.
Graham Neagus
Grahame has been in the industry since 1984, holding a variety of sales and consultancy positions in the OEM sector as well as running his own business. He spent time at Seddon Atkinson and Foden Trucks before nearly 10 years at Lex Autolease. He joined Renault Trucks to head up the LCV offer for the UK and Ireland, designing and implementing a new strategy across the network.
John Hix
John is FORS Concession Director and has been involved with FORS since its inception. John has 26 years’ freight experience, notably in policy and regulation, logistics planning and operational best practice, with expertise in freight traffic management, lorry parking, the safe transport of dangerous goods and the mitigation of transport impacts.
Natalie Geraghty
Natalie has been Head of Customer and Communications at Kier Highways for six months, with a remit to develop and implement customer and communications strategies for internal and external customers. She previously managed the customer service team on the Highways England Area 9 contract for four years.
Marc Holloway
Marc is a Regional Chartered Transport Manager working at Rexel UK, an electrical wholesaler with 2,000 branches worldwide, a turnover of over 13 billion Euro and a combined UK fleet of up to 1,000 vehicles. Marc holds over 30 years’ experience of transport and logistics operations within the UK and Europe.
Martin Flach
Martin joined Iveco Ford Truck in 1986 and remained following the formation of Iveco Ltd in 2003. After over 40 years in the commercial vehicle business, Martin has just retired from his role in Iveco as Alternative Fuels Director to become the UK and ROI specialist in this vital area. Martin is now working with like-minded companies in the alternative fuels sector.
Paul Wilkes
Paul is the FORS Business Services Manager and is responsible for developing partnerships and commercial activities to support the growth of FORS. With over a decade of experience in fleet management, Paul is particularly interested in how technology can be used to raise standards within the transport industry.
Ruth Waring
Ruth has 30 years’ experience in the transport and logistics sector. Ruth is an expert on Operator Licensing and Health & Safety compliance and is also the co-creator of the on-line compliance tool BigChange Audit. She is currently a Director of Advisory Plus, the consultancy arm of BigChange.
